Sir, - It infuriated me to read from Katherine Gibney (November 19th) which argued that "a mere five per cent of crimes committed are the work of those released on bail". I think that Ms Gibney would have a fundamentally different view if she was one of those statistics. Enough is enough; it's time to tilt the balance back in favour of the victims. - Yours, etc.,
