A chara, - Pursuant to your report (The Irish Times, April 11th) on the employment of untrained teachers in our primary school, I wish to take this opportunity to express publicly our gratitude to those members of our parent body who have filled the gap so capably.
We applaud their dedication and service, as they provide for the continuity and maintenance of standards at a time when the Department of Education and Science is not, as explained in your article, in a position to provide trained personnel. - Yours, etc.,
