Madam, – Following Alex Staveley’s exhortation to ban people from sitting on the floor of trains (April 22nd), it is important to point out that a percentage of the population (including many with ME/Chronic fatigue syndrome) suffer from orthostatic intolerance, a form of autonomic dysfunction. Forcing such individuals to stand would also be a health and safety issue! – Yours, etc,
