Sir, - The harbour at Sandycove is frequented by thousands of people every week during the summer months. Most of these are families with small children. For the past two weeks a choked drain has been discharging raw sewage across the road and directly on to the sand where these children are playing, swimming and eating their picnics in many cases. I believe the sanitary authority has been informed but to date no action has been taken. Just as in other hazardous situations, must we wait for some disaster to stimulate action? - Yours, etc.,
John Fleetwood Snr, President, Sandycove Bathers' Association, Co Dublin.
