Sir, – How morally amiss the country has become.
The Irish Times (Business, November 14th) reports that a pre-budget study says low-income families could pay up to 24 per cent more taxes.
The front page also carries a report that 57 employees of two State-owned banks receive annual basic salaries in excess of €150,000.
It would appear the 21st-century Robin Hood, “who robs the poor and gives to the rich” is truly alive. – Yours, etc,
