Madam, – As a recent graduate and a 23-year-old trainee, I want to know, what has our country become? Our sense of loyalty and passion, something that was ingrained in our heritage, has deserted us.

Recently, a man ploughed a truck into the gates of our country’s headquarters, our leader was ridiculed by a prominent US chat show host and members of Government continued to bicker among one another. Who is to blame? We are.

It is easy to point fingers and publicise high-profile individuals, but whether it be through a social networking slur or cheap headlines, we as a country are responsible.

I am tired of our nation’s media outlets persistently drowning the public with incessant negativity.
