Sir, - September 5th to 12th is National Heritage Week. Wouldn't it be a fitting recognition of the very essence of our national heritage if Ms Sile de Valera were now to announce that Erskine Childers's Asgard would be restored to the sea that would preserve her in her natural environment for many years to come? We are now receiving responses to our national canvass of every member of the Oireachtas and all the indications are that our proposal for her return to the sea as Ireland's National Heritage Vessel enjoys solid support. - Yours, etc.,
