Sir, - The people who bombed Omagh were sufficiently annoyed to bomb the front door of BBC headquarters in London last weekend. I call on RTE to air the documentary that had sufficient truth in it to mobilise these thugs from the south Armagh/north Louth region. I suppose we shall see the families of the dead Omagh shoppers intimidated next by the RIRA, as they too are being a bit persistently vocal.
RTE should make a bold move to demonstrate that journalism will not be intimidated by evil minority elements in Ireland. The public reaction to the butchering of Veronica Guerin was a measure of right-thinking Irish people's outlook on bullies who creep around in the shadows. This month we celebrate a Welshman who made a positive contribution for good on our island.
