Sir, – There is something profoundly and deeply disturbing about a system that sends a woman to prison because she is endeavouring to save the trees she has planted on her land.
I refer to Teresa Treacy, who seems to have dedicated part of her life to creating an amazing woodland, which the ESB wants to cut down.
I say let all of us who appreciate the value and wonder of trees support this woman who has the courage to stand up for the Earth’s natural resources. – Yours, etc,
