Sir, - The leader of the Labour Party, Mr Ruairi Quinn, said on national radio last week that if any elected members of his Party were found guilty of accepting such donations, they would "pay the ultimate penalty".
Does this mean that any elected member of the Labour Party found guilty of accepting a brown paper bag full of used notes will be taken to the back yard at dawn, blindfolded, and be shot by a firing squad? - Yours, etc.,
D.J. O'Gorman PC, Oola, Co Limerick.
