Madam, - That Peter Moloney could find no parking space near the Luas should surprise nobody (Dec 3rd). Had he decided to take a bus he would have had a similar problem. Whatever about the totally inadequate parking areas for both the Dart and the Luas, there are absolutely no parking facilities for bus passengers.
We hear and read daily about Dublin gridlock and lengthy commutes from the suburbs and further afield but until Park and Ride facilities are provided the situation cannot change. Throwing traffic lights at our traffic problems was never an option and granting planning permission to developers along our main arteries into the city without insisting that space be made available for some public parking was had disastrous results. - Yours, etc,
