Sir, – I’m glad someone else noticed your food writer, Domini Kemp’s obsession with garlic (Aiden Desmond, December 20th). This has become a bugbear of mine, to the extent that I scan Ms Kemp’s column in the Magazine every Saturday, on the off-chance that we’ll get a savoury recipe with a lower smelly quotient.
Amazingly, I cannot remember a single recipe for several years now that was garlic-free.
I know lots of people who either don’t like, or only occasionally eat garlic, and I realise that we are all Europeans now, but this is getting ridiculous. C’mon Domini, stop making our eyes water! – Yours, etc,
