Sir - I have just finished reading Dr Fred MacSorley's article (June 21st), depicting the brutal murder of the two RUC officers in Lurgan. If I think about the news related to me over the past 26 years, most of what I seem to recall are images of death, brutality, and cold blooded murder. The countless victims of cowardly violence are not Protestants or Catholics, they are people; babies, grown to become men and women, enjoying life, only to have it snatched from them by what can only be described as inhuman monsters and demons, devoid of morality and spirit and filled with the darkness of death.
I am fed up with apologists and people sympathetic to "the cause". All these idiots do is perpetuate the myth that there is something worth killing for.
I know all of these things have been said before, but I have to add my voice. Today I cried after reading a newspaper article. Thank you Dr MacSorley, for opening my eyes. Yours etc.,
