Sir, – Your supplement on Brian O’Nolan (Flann O’Brien) (100 Myles, October 1st) states that he moved to 14 Belmont Avenue when he got married. There were indeed many nights when he mistook the hall door of No 14 for his own, though in fact, he resided next door at No 12. My grand-aunt, who lived in No 14 at the time, told me often of his late night mutterings when his keys didn’t quite fit the wrong door, and of her being kept awake, into the small hours, by the incessant clatter of his typewriter. – Yours, etc,
