Madam, - I fail to see the health and safety concerns that have led the Mater Hospital to spurn Ben Dunne's kind and practical offer to fund Portakabins to accommodate ill people with a bit more dignity and privacy than is offered in our present casualty departments.
It should not be forgotten that most of the voluntary hospitals owe their existence to the generosity of wealthy businessmen.- Yours, etc.,
