Lexicographers' chosen seats

Madam, - Mention in "An Irishman's Diary"(July 23rd) of lexicographer Eric Partridge always sitting in the same seat in the British Museum Reading Room reminded me that our own famous lexicographer, Fr Patrick Dineen, born in Co Kerry, always sat in the same place in the National Library. A plaque marks the spot. - Yours, etc,
