A chara, - Turkey's treatment of its Irish tourists may be fine, as asserted by the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (June 10th). Its treatment of its Kurdish minority is not. In The Irish Times of the same day, the Council of Europe is quoted as censuring Turkey for "repeated and serious" human rights violations by the security forces against Kurds.
