Sir, My letter about Kitty Kiernan (November 22nd), pointing out inaccuracies, said that John Lavery had described a spontaneous embrace between his wife Hazel and Kitty Kiernan at Michael Collins's funeral. In fact, the source for that description was Emmet Dalton, who is included by Hazel Lavery's biographer, Sinead McCoole, on a separate topic in the footnotes to her book, but whose testimony on the embrace is not included in that book.
