Sir, – So the Central Bank sees the irony of it acquiring the Anglo site to build a magnificent new HQ (Frank McDonald, Opinion, November 15th). At least it has something in common with the Irish people.
The biggest incongruity, however, is the fact that the Central Bank needs accommodation for 1,500 employees to regulate the Irish financial system when the ECB can supervise the entire euro system with a mere 1,400. – Yours, etc,
