Madam, - As a Catholic parent who decided not to send my son to the local Catholic school, but to the local state school, I disagree strongly with Mgr Denis Faul's letter of February 7th. My son is being taught, both at home and at school, important moral values that are not exclusive to Catholicism and the Catholic school system.
My son is about to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation. I and many other parents are instructing our children with the assistance of the local Catholic parish. I would welcome Mgr Faul's support rather than his criticism. - Yours, etc,
