What a shame that an opportunity is not being taken to rationalise the fragmented transport planning of the last century and that it is being institutionalised for the next. £275 million is being spent on lines between Belfast and Dublin and between Dublin and Cork, but a transfer between them will only be possible by bus/ taxi. Connolly will not be served by LUAS.
The through Belfast Cork Enterprise, inaugurated under Dr C. S. Andrews' leadership on October 2nd, 1950, should be reviewed again. - Yours, etc.,
