Madam, - I noted the photographs in your edition of December 28th of the Ward Union Hunt pursuing a poor defenceless stag. Thank God the unfortunate animal got away. The members of the hunt should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves for terrorising one of God's creatures.
We were supposedly created a little higher than the animals but sometimes I wonder if it was the other way round. - Yours, etc.,
