Sir, - It's a pity Paul Cullen didn't pick up the phone to RTE Radio before going into print on our coverage of the tribunals (The Irish Times, July 15th). As we indicated in a press statement some months ago, although Vincent and the show were wrapped up at the end of June, the team, presenters and actors were on standby to do tribunal specials throughout the summer if required. Listeners will be able to hear special editions of the Tonight show with Emily O'Reilly, Vincent Browne and the actors over this week and next week, covering events in the Flood and Moriarty tribunals. - Yours, etc.,

Helen Shaw, Director of Radio, RTE, Dublin 4.

Paul Cullen writes: All credit to the tribunal "re-enactors" (Joe Taylor and Malcolm Douglas) if they can manage to appear in their show at HQ and re-create the voices of Haughey, Burke et al. on the radio, all on the same night.
