Sir, - If Mary Harney intended to get C.J. Haughey off the hook, she should resign. If, as I believe, this was the very opposite of what she intended to achieve by her words and actions, she showed an alarming lack of judgment, and should therefore resign.
I really don't mind which of the above reasons she cites, butif she has any shred left of that integrity which Judge Kevin Haugh sees in her, then only one course of action is open to her.
