Sir, – I have just spent a week in Donegal, Belfast and Dublin with four French friends.
We stayed in Airbnb accommodation on four occasions.
We were very surprised that there were no recycling bins in the houses or apartments.
I have seen recycling bins in many other places.

So is it because the owners could not be bothered to go to the trouble?
