Golf courses

Sir, – James O'Mahony (Letters, March 5th) lamented that "Thousands of acres of golf-course land remain unused while our parks are cramped". I wholeheartedly agree, and I think the most straightforward solution is to open up the suburban golf courses as parks for all. The addition of these green spaces for walks and picnics would give us all a boost, and truly epitomise the "We're all in this together" sentiment we are aspiring to. – Yours, etc,
