Madam, - Colette Browne (November 1st) expresses little sympathy for men "with their fat pay cheques, presumably bulging at least 25 per cent more than my own".
If men are getting 25 per cent more for doing the same job with the same number of hours, I suggest she makes a claim for sexual discrimination.
Or could it be that this statistic was derived, as an old maths lecturer of mine used to say, by mixing together apples and oranges? - Yours, etc,
