Madam, - Contrary to what is stated in Marc Coleman's article "Getting the maths right" (Business This Week, April 20th), it was in fact the Association of Secondary Teachers of Ireland which called for the terms of "Towards 2016" to be renegotiated due to the increasing inflation rate.
Secondly, as a public service union, our members are not funded by the taxpayer when attending annual conferences. - Yours, etc,
