Sir, - As a third level student reading the Irish language I would like to draw attention to a recent trend which has become evident in the timetable and information literature issued by Dublin Bus.

Up till some time ago most of the information leaflets contained the cupla focail Gaeilge. But now, for example most new timetable sheets and information brochures no longer contain any, Irish at all. Originally, timetables stated the places a route served in both languages. But now most timetable sheets do not show the Irish names for the places along the route. An example of this is in the timetables for many CityImp services e.g., Routes 130, 134. Dublin Bus quote the motto of Changing With The City in their literature - does this mean forgetting about our national language too? - Yours, etc. Navan, Co Meath.
