Sir, - In reference to correspondence regarding wedged open fire doors in hotel corridors (I've even seen a convenient fire extinguisher used for this purpose), if I come across this, I close the door myself and/ or report it to hotel reception.
It should also be noted that many hotels now have these fire doors on magnetic catches linked into the automatic fire alarm system, which results in the door closing automatically in the events of the fire alarm being activated. - Yours etc.,
