Madam, – Your supplement on feeder schools (November 26th) made for interesting reading, but was so narrow in its focus that it offers only a very limited picture of the academic achievements of a school and its students.
The omission of Post Leaving Certificate courses from the list sends a message to students who have won places on these courses that their academic achievements are so insignificant as to be unworthy of inclusion on a list that represents, however crudely, educational success. – Yours, etc,
