A chara, – I have just driven from west Cork to Dublin, a journey of almost four hours on various kinds of roads. I passed three Garda speed cameras on the way. Despite having been on a series of narrow dangerous single carriageways, all three speed traps were on the M8 motorway – the safest stretch of road in the country.
