Madam, – I agree with Caroline Molloy (April 17th) that “children who have learned about faith will have the freedom to choose whether or not to accept it”. However, in a faith school a child will learn mostly about one faith, will be told that it is their faith, and that it is only right and proper for them to accept it.

It seems disingenuous, therefore, to imply that such a partial educational model exists to enable a person to make a free religious choice. – Yours, etc,
