Sir, - Having viewed the single currency exhibition in Dublin Castle one is struck by the manner in which the use of personal portraiture is eschewed in proposed EU notes. That this practice is time honoured in coinage is indeed well exemplified in the same exhibition. Is this decision to ignore a part of European heritage, another example of a "faceless bureaucratic regulation. - Yours, etc.,
