Sir, - I note that we in Dublin are going to close two of the most traffic-free areas of the city (Customs House Quay and Merrion Square West) for European Car Free Day on Saturday, September 22nd. Perhaps the Corporation would like to claim Henry Street and Grafton Street as car-free for the day as well? Or the centre of St Stephen's Green?
Is this truly the most pointless exercise the Corporation has undertaken? - Yours, etc.,
