Sir, - Jumping on the technology bandwagon, I recently subscribed to the "on-line" services of the Bank of Ireland. The promises of balance checking and even making transactions from my living room were just too much to resist, but I had concerns about security and privacy as I logged on to try out the new service.

Well, all of my worries were needless. I can categorically say that security is definitely not an issue. This because I have not been able to access my accounts for the past few months. Each time, the page reading "Sorry, butwe are unable to process your request at present" reappears. To me, this is akin to the bank closing its doors as I walk up the steps.
