Sir, As a voracious reader, I must agree with Eddie Naughton (May 5th) about the poor selection of books in Dublin bookshops. I have now taken to ordering most of my reading material from the US over the Internet. It's also saving me money, even after paying shipping charges.
While I would prefer to spend my money in Ireland, if I can't get what I want, I'll go elsewhere. I normally spend £50 to £100 at a time when buying books. I recently got a delivery of 12 books, none of which was available in Dublin. - Yours etc.,
Garry Clarke, Spricklestown, The Ward, Co Dublin.
