Madam, - In response to Jeanette Bloor's letter of December 29th, I would point out that the Dublin Airport Authority has consistently recommended that passengers flying from Dublin airport check in at least 90 minutes before their scheduled flight departure time to European and UK destinations,
Two hours is the recommended check-in time for transatlantic flights.
Domestic passengers are advised to check in 60 minutes before their flight departure time as a result of a dedicated domestic security channel, which has been in place since June last year, specifically to cater for passengers on flights from Dublin to airports around Ireland. - Yours, etc,
