Sir, - Dublin 4 has its own ways of fixing things. The use of a former residential premises in Ballsbridge as a reception centre for asylum-seekers was not challenged by picketing as in other parts of Ireland but was objected to in the High Court (The Irish Times, July 1st).
Mr Justice Kelly was told: "there was no hostility towards asylum-seekers and that the case was concerned with a planning issue".
Surely this must be one of the quotes of the week. - Yours, etc.,
Brendan Butler Pennock Hill, Swords, Co Dublin.
