Sir, – Áine Fitzpatrick, (December 10th) noted that the recently announced barrack closures will increase the number of military personnel in the “front line” and that the recently announced reorganisation of the Army is to ensure the number of “front line” troops is maximised.
I have no reason to doubt her assertion, however on reading her letter I was more concerned as to what had happened in Europe overnight and where was the “front”! – Yours, etc,
