Sir, - In my letter (July 10th), I asked the question: "If a Protestant family receives Communion in a Catholic Church, then kneels devoutly and prays to God, does the Omnipotent and loving God reject this act of devotion?"

Several letters have appeared since, explaining the ins and outs of Canon Law, But no one will answer the question. It seems, perhaps, that it was considered rhetorical, but it was no such thing. It is the very essence of the whole debate.

I will answer the question myself: The Omnipotent and loving God will accept this sincere act of devotion. To those who answer otherwise, I say: "Shame on you!".

Various letters suggest that one's faith depends on accepting the doctrine of transubstantiation. If that is so, they refer to faith in the doctrine of the Catholic Church. Personally, my faith in Almighty God far outweighs my faith in any religion. - Yours, etc.,
