Sir, - I cannot convey the frustration and acute disappointment I feel at the recent planning application for apartments to be built adjacent to the Round Tower in Clondalkin.To say that the tower is one of our national treasures is an understatement. To have it reviled by the construction of a concrete monstrosity next to it is a betrayal of our country's history and heritage.We, together with the Clondalkin Tourism Taskforce, are trying to attract people to Clondalkin to enjoy its historic ambience.
