Madam, – Liam Doona and Gerard Owens (April 14th) lament the sorry state of the Wicklow countryside due to litter. I echo their sentiments wholeheartedly. My own home county of Wexford is more than a match for our neighbouring county. With three other volunteers, I collected enough rubbish on a one-mile stretch of road to fill a small trailer. In addition to the items listed by your Wicklow correspondents, we can add nappies.
