Madam, - I could not agree more with your Editorial on Bupa (January 11th): its bluff has been called. I am a Bupa policy-holder and initially supported its position. However, it is now obvious that Bupa is just cashing in and getting out. Axa has done its homework and sees the potential of the Irish market, with or without risk equalisation.
Regardless of Bupa's position, Axa should continue its discussions with the Government to enter the Irish market and provide us with greater competition and choice. - Yours, etc,
