Sir, – It is curious that neither the Samaritans nor Aware have toll-free contact numbers. Instead, as with many Government services, they use LoCall and Call Save numbers. These numbers in fact are high-cost, particularly if they are phoned from a mobile phone; and unreachable over Internet phone services.
Strange that one can inquire, for example, about house insulation or banking free-of-charge, yet in matters of life and death there is a fee! – Yours, etc,
