Sir, - After many years Dublin Bus has made a start in providing seats in some bus shelters. But who designed the seats, and did they ever try sitting on them? They are very narrow; they are too high; they are far too close to the back of the shelter; and they are sloped the wrong way.
The seats should be brought forward about six inches and turned round to slope down towards the back, to accommodate an average rump. Also they should be lowered, so that small people and children can get their feet on the ground.
Ah me! I remember a bus shelter in Germany, with solid weather-proof walls and roof, and a timetable, and a clock, and a good comfortable seat. Why can't we have something like that? - Yours, etc.,
Lower Mounttown,
