Sir, – I have been searching in vain for the whereabouts of my great grandfather Denis Treacy’s grave. I have the rest of the family’s details – most of them are buried in Glasnevin. His wife Anne is there also. I wondered if any of your readers would know if different arrangements were made for sufferers of TB at that time?
Perhaps there’s an archive at the Mater Hospital? I’m at a complete standstill and would dearly love to solve this mystery especially as I found my grandparents’ unmarked grave at Glasnevin recently and have since purchased a marker. If poor Denis is in a similar situation I’d want to do the same for him.
Investigations at the National Archive and National Library were fruitless. I am contactable at hollybankx2@btinternet.com
– Yours, etc,
