Madam, - As a healthy, active, energetic but ageing female over 65 who has been taking HRT for over 25 years I now find it very difficult - indeed nigh impossible to access the breast screening service.
I cycle 10 miles a day, walk my dogs, have worked until recently and am not tottering towards the grave - but I feel I do need and deserve a mammogram.
Am I to be condemned because of my age? If so how can I be positive about ageing? - Yours, etc.,
