Madam, – I think Liam Carson (May 9th) and I were definitely at a different concert. Although it gives me great cheer to hear that Bob Dylan was dancing and grinning at his keyboard, I wish I could have seen that. Unfortunately, I spent the entire concert looking at his back, apart from the 30 seconds at 10.05pm when he turned briefly to gaze at the section of the audience behind him – I would like to think he spared a thought for our lot.
It was so dark on stage at the beginning that it took me about a half an hour to figure out which of the suited men with hats was Dylan, and I wasn’t alone in this.
It was my first outing to the O2, and I had been told that the view was great from every angle. What possessed the organisers to arrange the keyboards sideways so that so many paying customers were left looking at the star’s back? – Yours, etc,
