Sir, - Wednesday, April 15th, will be the 150th anniversary of the formal presentation of our national flag to the Irish people by Thomas Francis Meagher.
Faced with apparent official indifference to the significance of this anniversary, I intend to hold a brief ceremony of commemoration at the statue of William Smith O'Brien in O'Connell Street, Dublin at noon on that date.
